New vacancy with Leigh RUFC Junior Section – Representative Co-ordinator

We are looking to appoint a Leigh RUFC Junior Representative Co-ordinator. The role will be to assist teams selecting players for representative duties and also to act as the team/section interface with Lancashire and their representatives at all levels.

Our objective is to have a co-ordinated approach to selecting players for representative duties. We also have to make sure that we are represented within the Lancashire set-up. The person required for this roll must recognise that there will be a lot of work required in building up our sections profile with Lancashire. You will be given full support.

Job Description – Representative Coordinator

Learn and fully understand the Wigan Development Area, and Lancashire rugby pathway, identifying and managing key player submission dates, communicating that with coaches and managing attendance at trials and representative games.

Working with coaches at Under 11 to Under 16 Level to identify players gifted and talented enough to attend representative trials. (Identification of talent pool required through summer 2010)

Work with DOR to identify shortfalls in skills in the Identified players and address coaching requirements to improve those shortfalls.

Work with DOR to organise elite coaching sessions aimed at sharpening and advancing playing ability prior to trial dates.

Attend and Mentor the players during their trial games and associated district representation.

Develop relationships with Key District and County Officials, promoting players and the Club in order to raise our profile for now and future years.

Develop a Code of Conduct for all players and parents attending trial events, including Behaviours, Dress Code, Timekeeping and any other aspects considered Important.
